7 Days Samburu Maasai Mara
Lodge Safaris
Day 1
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and drive north through the central
Kenya highlands to the semi arid Samburu game reserve. Arrive in
time for lunch at the Samburu lodge. Afternoon at rest and set
off to explore the park at 4 o’clock during the evening game drive.
The animals to look out for are lions, leopards, stripped hyena
among other carnivores. Herbivores include Elephants, reticulated
girrafe, grevy’s zebra. The last two together with the Somali
ostrich and the byesa oryx are only found in parks north of the
Equator. Dinner and overnight at the samburu lodge or
equivalent.
Day 2
Full day is spent in samburu game reserve with morning and afternoon
game drives. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Optional visit
to the samburu cultural villages can be arranged
Day 3
Depart samburu after breakfast and drive south to Nyeri arriving in
time for lunch at the outspan hotel, then you'll be transferred to the
Treetops, It is here that Queen Elizabeth II was spending a night
while on vacation that her father died and she became Queen. A
special feature of the lodge is the flood lit watering hole where
you can watch from the lodge through out the night as great variety
of animals come down to drink.

Day 4
Depart aberdares and drive west to the floor of the Great Rift Valley
arriving in time for lunch at the lake Nakuru Flamingo Hill camp. Afternoon game drive
around the lake. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Nakuru Flamingo
hill camp or
the Sarova lion hill lodge.
Day 5
After breakfast at the lodge depart and head further south to the
world famous Maasai mara game reserve arriving in time for lunch at
the Keekorok or mara sopa lodge. Afternoon game drive dinner and over night at the lodge.
Day 6
The whole day is spent exploring this park which was recently named
as the 7th great wonder of the new world and the 4th best place to
visit in the world. The animals to look out for are all the members
of the Big Five ie Elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards and rhinos
And a variety of antelopes which include the giant elands, water
bucks, bush bucks impalas, gazelles among others. Dinner and
overnight at the lodge.
Day 7
Take an early morning game drive and return to the lodge for
breakfast after which you'll drive through the park
exiting through the sekenani gate. Onward to Nairobi with a stop for
souvenir shopping along the way Arrive in Nairobi late afternoon and drop off at
your hotel or at the airport.
