Tour Summary
An adventure camping safari to Samburu Game Reserve in Kenya's
spectacular, arid northern areas. Opportunities to see some the
flora and fauna specific to the north.
Day 1 Nairobi - Samburu
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive north through the lush
central Kenya highlands with a stop at the Equator crossing. Proceed
further north to arrive in time for lunch at a camp beautifully set
along banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River inside the Samburu Game
reserve. Take an afternoon game drive in this park which is home to
some unique animals only found north of the Equator. These are the
rare Grevy's zebra, The blue necked somali ostrich the beisa oryx
and teh Reticulated giraffe. Return to the camp at sunset for dinner
and overni
ght.
Days 2: Samburu National Reserve
Morning and afternoon game drives from the comfortable base of the
camp, explore the parks amazingly high concentration of game. This
game reserve is one of Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Optional
visit to the traditional samburu villages who are the local
residents of the area can be arranged at an extra cost. Dinner and
overnight at the campsite.
Day 3: Samburu - Nairobi
Take an early morning game drive and then return to the campsite for
breakfast after which you depart samburu to arrive in Nairobi in the
late evening where the safari ends.
