Day 1 Arrival Nairobi
You'll be met and transferred to the Nairobi Safari Club
for overnight
Day 2 Nairobi – Samburu
Pick up from your hotel at 7:30 am and drive North crossing the
Equator and further north to the semi arid Samburu game reserve.
Arrival will be in good time for lunch at the Samburu Serena
Lodge.
Afternoon game drive in this unique park which is home to some
of the rarest animals eg the endangered Grevy’s Zebra, the
reticulated giraffe, blue necked Somali ostriches, beisa oryx
and more. These animals are only found in parks north of the
Equator. Dinner and overnight will be at the Samburu Serena
lodge.
Day 3 Samburu Game Reserve
The whole day is spent in Samburu game reserve with early
morning and late afternoon game drives. Optional visits to the
samburu villages can be arranged while in samburu at a cost of
US$ 25
Dinner and overnight will be at the Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 4 Samburu – Lake Nakuru
Depart Samburu game reserve after breakfast and drive to the
floor of the Great Rift Valley arriving in time for lunch at the
Lake Nakuru Sarova lion hill lodge inside the Lake Nakuru
National park
Afternoon game drive around the park which is famed for the
millions of flamingoes which literary turn the lake pink. The
park is also a rhino sactuary, other game to be found there are
the leopards, lions, buffaloe, water bucks hippos etc
Dinner and overnight at the sarova lodge
Day 5 Lake Nakuru Masai - Masai Mara
- Depart Lake Nakuru and
drive along the scenic Great Rift Valley, to the Mara Reserve
arriving in good time for lunch at the Mara Keekorok or Sopa
Lodge. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at
the Lodge
Day 7 Masai Mara
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the Big 5. Dinner
and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or Keekorok lodge
The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular
game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game
reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great
extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be
seen at the Mara.
Day 8 Masai mara - Lake Naivasha
- Early morning game
drive in the mara followed by breakfast at the lodge and
thereafter depart masai mara for the Lake Naivasha. Arrival will
be in good time for lunch at the Lake Naivasha Simba lodge. Take
an afternoon boat ride in the lake to see birds, hippos and
other game around the lake. Dinner and overnight will be at the
lodge.
Day 9 Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park
Depart after breakfast with picknic lunch and drive out of
the Great Rift Valley via Nairobi to the South towards the Kenya
Tanzania border to arrive in Amboseli at the base of Mt
Kilimanjaro (Africa’s highest mountain) in the afternoon. Game
drive will be enroute to the Amboseli serena lodge for
dinner and overnight
Day 10 Amboseli National Park
The whole day is spent in the park. Early morning and
afternoon game drives will be offered. Dinner and overnight at
the Serena lodge
Amboseli means ‘Dusty Salty Winds” in Maasai language. The park
has an endless supply of water which is filtered through
thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro.
Animal species seen include elephant, zebra, wildebeest,
giraffe, impala and leopard. The birdlife seen here includes
pelican, bee eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle and pygmy
falcon. Amboseli is one of the most popular parks and offers
excellent accommodation facilities.
Day 11 Amboseli – Lake Manyara
Do a morning game drive, depart after breakfast with picnic
lunches and drive to the Kenya / Tanzania border town of Namanga
for immigration formalities to enter Tanzania. Drive to the Lake
Manyara National park. The park is famed for the Tree Climbing
lions. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lake
Manyara Hotel
Day 12 Lake Manyara – Serengeti
Early morning game drive and depart Lake Manyara after
breakfast, drive west to the world famous Serengeti National
park. Arrival will be for lunch at the Serengeti Sopa lodge
Day 13 Serengeti
- The whole day is spent in
Serengeti with early morning, late morning and evening game
drives offered. Dinner and overnight at the Seronera campsite or
Serengeti Wildlife lodge.
Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and
it’s also the largest, at 14,763 km square of protected area
that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game ParkIt is the Migration for
which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million
wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern
hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October
and November
Day 14 Serengeti – Ngorongoro
Morning departure from Serengeti will take you eastwards
into the Ngorongoro conservation area. Dscend 2000 ft into the
Ngorongoro crater which is a UN world heritage site. Afull day
crater tour viewing game, and then drive out of the crater for
dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro wildlife lodge
at the Crater Rim.
Day 15 Ngorongoro – Arusha – Zanzibar
You’ll drive back to Arusha and drop off will be at the airport
to board your afternoon flight to Zanzibar. On arrival in
Zanzibar your be met at the airport and transferred to your
hotel
Day 16 – 19th Enjoying your Zanzibar Beach Vacation for
4 nights
Day 20 Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the airport for
your flight to Nairobi where you’ll connect to your homebound
international flight
